M4.6 earthquake strikes off the coast of Ecuador

The earthquake directly correlates with the prophetic sign of 'earthquakes in various places' as a birth pang before the end times. The Greek term σεισμός (seismos) encompasses all earthquake activity. While a 4.6 magnitude is relatively minor, it fits the pattern of increasing seismic activity globally as part of the signs Jesus described in Matthew 24:7-8.

The earthquake has tangential connection to the sixth seal's 'great earthquake' (σεισμός μέγας), though this M4.6 event is far smaller in scope and intensity than the prophesied global seismic event. It represents the same category of geological upheaval, albeit at a much lesser scale than the earth-moving judgment described in Revelation 6:12.
